It's Been Awhile !!!

It's me Brian just checking in, I wanted to let everyone know that we are still working on the new cd Terrortory. It is taking longer than we had expected, but hopefully the final result will be worth the wait. We have battled some demons making this record, there have been some health issues and financial woes. But hey "you can't kill the strong"... We will get it done and out soon...We will be announcing some great shows and events soon, as we start to celebrate our 25th anniversary... Thanks for all of your support over the bands illustrious career. Check back here at the bands official website and at our myspace. Thanks again Brian Thomas

Headbangers Open Air

Well, we got home from Germany yesterday, and what an awesome time we had. A weekend of great metal music, extremely enthusiastic metal fans, German beer and good food, What could be better?
We made lots of new friends and had the privilege of doing what we love for them. What a treat indeed!! The show went great and the response was overwhelming to say the least, those german metalheads are insane!! We didnt think they were going to let us leave the stage, seriously!! Simply awesome!!
A huge thanks to the staff and crew at H.O.A. and all at Hellion records, and to Carston(The Helldriver) for making sure we got to where we needed to be when we needed to be there, You rule dude!!
The entire festival was filmed for a webcast, we'll let everyone know when thats going to take place as soon as we find out. There are a few links below to go and check out some pics(Thanks digital Dan) so go check em out, and as more pop up, we'll post them.
Later,

Rob.

Hey It's Me Again...

I just wanted to stop by and thank everyone who came out to see us play at the Erebus Haunted House this past Friday. Though it was last minute and on a Friday, (every body in the band had to work earlier in the day), and we were exhausted, (it took 2 days to set up the stage show), we had a blast. And it was cool playing for people that looked scarier than us. We played to about 600+ people and it was awesome. We hope to get more shows like that one in the future. We want to thank Jim and Ed Terebus, Jason, Lee and everyone at Erebus for having us and treating us so well. I would like to say thank you to our road crew for getting the show up and running every time. Justin Mace, Jay Gray, Jeff Cooch, Chuck Modell (for jumping in and giving us a big hand), our manager Brian Darling 'Lugnut' (who has entirely too many things to do and does them well), Dave Postal (just for being postal, and so much more), Keith (when he can be there) and Jason. Thank you Jen and Daniella for helping pack up and fold back drops. We missed Billy, Friday he had a previous commitment that he couldn't get out of so we played 4 peice and did a bunch of songs we haven't played out in a long time. (it was fun doing Haunted and Nightmares). I also want to thank Kelly Ann (Walters), for all of her hard work recruiting our new "Scream Team". She is doing an excellent job assembling a team of promotional girls to help sell the merchandise and promote the band, through the old school website and at the shows. Thank you to Dawn and Jennifer for helping us spread the word about Halloween, we hope you will be at the next one too. Thanks to John for bringing and seting up the sound system at such late notice. You rock! Thanks also to Leonard Pickell and Deanna from Haunt Con 2007 for helping us to be a part of it. And, an obvious but ocasionally overlooked Thank You to George, Donny, Rob and Billy for all that we go through together, I know it gets grueling some times, thanks for all that you guys do, it's a pleasure and an honor to work with all you. On another note we want to say goodbye to one of our family, Jay Gray is leaving us and moving to Las Vegas to start a new job. Good luck Brother, stay in touch and come back and visit, we'll miss you. Thanks for all of your help over the past couple years. I also want to take a second to respond to Kevin who left a comment to my last blog. We are definetly putting "Say Your Prayers" on the next CD. We still have to wait a bit for "Kill Driver" and "1-900", although I'd love to record those as well. Thanks for all of your support (past and future) and we'll see you at one of the next shows. We are working on something for just before we go to Germany. We'll keep you posted. As of right now I am schedualed to sing for Syrant June 2nd at The Ritz. Hope you can make it out for that one... Well I think that's it for now, leave a comment, or message me on myspace or email me at brianthomas@halloweentheband.us . Hey, by the way everybody check out George's website, you can link to it from the news page. Best Witches..."Metal in your Blood and Blood in your Metal" There's no other way... Brian Thomas

So...Halloween friends and metal fans in general... IS THIS THING ON??? I see alot of traffic through our various websites and a whole lot of shyness when it comes to trying out our new interactive news and blog features. We wanted to give you the chance to give instant feedback make suggestions, share ideas or whatever comes to mind...all you have to do is click below where it says comments and you can talk with any or all of us. I want to extend this invitation to the rest of the band as well. I was suprised and happy to see that my old friend Rick Craig had stopped in and left a comment. Hey RC how are you? Steve's show was a blast and we raised a lot of money for him and his family. (not enough, but a respectable start). Steve was up on stage for the whole show (if you missed it) and he sang the SYRANT songs with me. It was so cool I wanted to get off the stage and go stand in the front row and watch. On the Halloween scene we are currently recruiting a street team of "CREEPIES", to help us spread the word about all of the things going on with the band. Kelly is putting it all together for us and we want to thank her for all of her hard work. If you know somebody who would be right for our scream team please check out the contact info on the main page or leave a message on the Halloween old school fan page. The girls would be able to go to various events and concerts and hand out flyers, take pictures for the website, appear in Halloween promotional materials flyers, ads, radio appearances, tv appearances, videos, photo shoots for a calender and posters and also the opportunity to appear in the movie that we are going to be doing in the not so distant future as well as acting in some of our live shows. Doug Podell from WRIF is always asking about "the creepies" so we thought we would recruit a new team just for him...well actually for all of you. Our new Cd is also in the works it is going to be called TERRORTORY, and we have some killer songs that we are working on. It is going to be awesome! We wrote and recorded a new song for Rob Zombies "Halloween" movie, it's called "Where is Michael?". It turned out really good and we can't wait to be able to play it for you. We are currently in the process of getting it to the boss man himself for consideration. We hope that he likes it and can use it in some way for the movie soundtrack. Feel free to contact him or the movies producers and fan base through Rob Zombies myspace site and express your opinions on this... Well I guess that's it for me, for now...again thanks for all of your support over the years and please feel free to write to us anytime...Brian Thomas

Steve

Hello everyone,it is a few days before the the benefit show and i hope everyone in the Detroit area can make it out to this show. I have knowen Steve for many many years when he first started singing and i knew there were great things in his future. when i herd about Steve's accident it really effected me but deep down i know steve will pull through this .if i have ever learned anything from Steve is to be strong and never let things keep you down.Steve always has a joke for everything and that attitude is a good thing to have to always be positive.on a different note i spoke with Brian a few days ago he has been working with Syrant and things are going well. he did mention a concern he had about doing this show, he really didn't want anyone to lose focus on what this show was all about he said it is not about Brian Thomas & Syrant or Halloween it is about his Friend.Steve is one of Brians favorite singers and he hopes everyone will know he is not trying to fill Steve's shoes but just honor him.If i may add something to this note i would like to say, When brian told me about his concerns i knew it was from the heart. so brian you are truely a good friend and also 100% Class

It's Tuesday April 10th...

Hey everyone just stopping by to remind you that the benefit for Steve Pironne is this Saturday April 14th at The Hayloft Liquor Stand in Mt Clemens...We hope to see you there and are counting on all of you to help spread the word. We have some kick ass projects in the works and are looking forward to being more of a regular presence in the music scene again. We will be unveiling some of our plans very soon and maybe even give a little tease this Saturday... I hope you will all come out and support our effort to help Steve and his family. And please stick around all night for the whole show it should be pretty great. All of the bands playing are very cool and I want to personally thank them for there support. My set with Syrant should be fun. I am nervous because nobody sings like Steve and it will be a real challange to fill in. I hope it goes good. Please feel free to respond to these blogs, we wanted to give people a chance to hear from us directly and to interact with us, so please let us know what you think... See you at the Hayloft...Brian Thomas
